I’ve been spending some time on market research to find the bounds
of the heat treating industry, and started reading through various trade journals piled up on my desk, and your
Sept 2019 issue was one of them.
Your article explaining the history of the various publications was an excellent orientation, and I noticed the
[Bible] verses in the early pages. Digging through your website and bio, it’s encouraging to see the various
ways you’ve applied your skills, both in heat treating and in projects like publishing “From Hitler to
Christ.”
I’m part of Turbocam, a business dedicated to honoring God in our work and supporting Christian service to God
and people, and we have already established several international branches towards that end. I manage the
coating and heat-treating division; we’re partially captive, with operations in US and Romania, but I think we
have capability in FNC treatment that could reach well beyond, and we’re particularly interested in seeing how
foreign startups could provide employment and support churches in developing countries.
I was in your area a few months ago, recruiting at Grove City. If you’re free to connect, I’d love to get your
perspective, and I could be in your area again before long.
Warm Regards,
James

I don’t usually email magazine publishers, but you made it easy by
leaving your email address. So thanks for that.
I’ve only been working in aerospace for about 6 months. I snagged this magazine from the office today because
I was literally asking a customer of mine this morning “is NADCAP Necessary?” I still have to read about
that.
Anyways, I sit down just now for some light reading and what’s the first article I open to? You got it ... The
most interesting non-heat treat, heat treat story - Literally just watched it last night!!!!! Great documentary!
:) [Editor's Note: See
Publisher’s Page in
Heat Treat Today's March 2020 issue]
Now, I know this is a huge coincidence but so far you have the coolest industry mag out there
[emphasis added]. Hope to see you guys at some trade shows at some point once we can all travel
again.
Anyways, thanks for leaving your email - I’ll go read that NADCAP article now.

After contacting
Heat Treat Today to update his email
address and mailing address, Mr. Hutwagner said the following…
I … utilize many of the daily articles [referring to Heat Treat Today's
Heat Treat Daily e-newsletter]… [and] I both share them and use
them for training purposes. I always enjoy … the printed magazine … as well…. I think you guys do a great job.
Thank you for that.
